"Don't worry Sensei," I told him, grinning on the outside, "It's not like they're going to get captured or anything."

Splinter somehow doubted his son...

Kat perched on a pipe in the roof and glared down at Raph.

"Why are you following me?! I don't need a bodyguard!" She hissed and Raph smirked as he leaned against the wall.

"Well, ya got one now."

"Arrgh!!" Kat jumped down from the pipe, her feet landing with a light thud on the concrete floor. "I. Don't. Need. A. Bodyguard! You're worse than-"

"Worse th'n who?" Raph asked carefully.

"...my father..." Kat whispered, giving the floor a lot more attention than it deserved. At that moment the splashing of water reached their ears, and both teens hid in the shadows, Raph's hand covering Kat's mouth just in case.
A slight figure rounded the corner and Kat's eyes grew wide with shock, then crinkled as she smiled and broke free of Raph's hold, running toward the person ahead of them.

"ALYSSA!!!"

[Karai]

"I'm hungry," Michelangelo declared, sitting on the ground and wrapping his arms around his legs, which were tucked up against his chest. He rocked forwards and back slightly, like he had lost his mind. I say like because in order to do that you need to have a mind in the first place.

I glared at him, crossing my arms, "We have food here."

"Really?" Michelangelo stretched his arms, "Then... I'm hungry..."

"I hope Raph and Kat are okay," Leonardo murmured, "Recently the sewers have been plagued by inhuman super beings."

"Maybe there's a convention nearby," he pulled a horrified face, "And we weren't invited!"

Sometimes it is best to ignore him.

The dirtied girl grabbed hold of Kat and held her tight. Kat could feel her ribs as she hugged her, and she was much more weaker than when they'd been seperated.

"Lissa! It's really you..." Kat sniffed, tears trickling down her cheeks. "I've missed you so much. Where were you?!"

Alyssa shrugged but quickly pushed Kat behind her, her eyes scanning the shadows. Raph stepped forward and Alyssa pushed Kat back further, but Kat wiggled away.

"It's ok, Lissa! Raph's a friend, so his family! They were going to help me find you!" Kat explained as Raph walked to stand beside her. "Alyssa? Are you ok?"

Alyssa shook her head and motioned to her throat.

"Your throat's sore?"

Alyssa shook her head again and this time, she pulled away the bandaged wrapped around her throat, exposing 3 scars across her windpipe.

"I...don't think she can talk." Raph whispered and Kat felt her legs give way.

"Oh no...I'm gonna kill them!"

[Leo]

"... Two thousand five hundred and eighty two green bottles... sitting on a wall..." sang Mikey quietly, kicking his legs. He was sitting on the edge of the sewer water, his feet dipped into it.

"That water is disgusting," muttered Karai, making sure she wasn't standing anywhere near it.

"You get used to it," I told her lightly.

"Yes, after fifteen years or so," she grumbled, crossing her arms.

"It comes with living with three awesome turtles, Raph and a radical rat," grinned Mikey, forgetting that Raph wasn't here to hear him tease him. He remembered this and frowned, "Will they be back soon?"

"I suspect so," I reassured him. "I mean, Raph's... Raph, and Kat can look after herself with her eyes closed. They'll be fine."

"When you guys went off earlier, you weren't alright," he said quietly. He looked up at me seriously (an unnerving expression to see on his face) and elaborated, "Me and the others were waiting for you guys to come back. We waited ages and you still didn't return. We were gonna go look for you."

Karai took my side, "I came back on his orders. I told you that they were-"

Mikey's face reddened, "Lots of things could have like, happened after that. You all took so long we were thinking about going after you."

"Mikey-"

Mikey stood up and stamped his foot, "What, Leo? You and Raph think you can go off and we won't worry. You aren't invincible."

I shook my head furiously, "I never said that."

"You try and make us think that and you know what? It doesn't work. I dunno why you do that. Do you want us to think you're okay and that you won't get seriously harmed? I'm not a baby. I know what can happen."

I didn't know what to do; I didn't know what to say. I stood there, staring at him. He broke eye contact first.

"I'm going for a walk."

He began to walk away.

"Mikey! Come back!"

He ignored me. I tried to go after him but Karai pulled me back.

"Leonardo, let him calm down."

"But-"

"No. He won't go far. He's not an idiot."

"Yeah," I looked down, "He's... not a baby."

Kat, Alyssa and Raph all hurried to their destination and Kat disabled the hologram so they could enter, then activated it behind them.

"I can't believe this...Here, sit." Kat said, gently pushing Alyssa down into a seat at the kitchen table. "I'll get you something to eat."

Within moments the table was covered with various food and Kat left Alyssa to eat in peace. Raph followed Kat as she flipped up to the next level and began gathering things from the rooms within. She spied the target that Serina had drawn before, one of the needles still sticking out of it's head.

"Good aim." She murmured before gathering some more needles from the room and going downstairs. Alyssa had eaten her fill and was working at something in her lab. She turned to face Kat and held up a handheld device. It showed a red dot on the screen, and after she passed it to Kat and Lissa moved, it moved with her.

'Tracking system. It'll help us know where the other is.'

Kat smiled and nodded before tucking the device into her pocket and flinging the bag of weapons over her back.

"I'm glad to see you still have your powers." She said and Alyssa smiled and nodded, then motioned to the door.

'Should I stay here?'

Kat nodded. "Yeah, plus you can open the door for me when I come back with the others." She answered before giving a low whistle. A hover-cart appeared from inside the room behind her and she waved before she and Raph exited their home, Raph leading the cart behind him.

[Mikey]

I don't usually get angry. I don't like getting angry. I've been on the receiving end of Raph's wrath... heh heh... I mean, Raph's wrath... Ha ha, I can't keep a straight face. It just sounds so... corny and... weird. I smiled at myself before remembering what I was talking about.

Leo tries too hard, being the big older brother. Seriously, I doubt there's a month between us. Everyone just thinks he's mature and strong while I'm a pathetic little baby. Seriously, what's up with that? He thinks I'm too babyish to understand what's really going on. He wanted me to believe that everything was okay. Alright, I can see why he would want to do that... but it made me like... a baby.

I sighed, feeling lonely. Leo had Karai and Kaida, Raph had Kat and Donnie had Lila. Who did I have? No one, that's who.

It was like one of those cheesy fanfictions where everyone's paired up and the stupid thick characters get left all alone. No one cares about them. They only care about the showy smart strong couples. Not little old me.

I saw a tin can and kicked it angrily. Why couldn't things like, just stay the same? Things change, yeah yeah. It's just... sometimes I wished they didn't, you know?

Kat and Raph arrived back at the turtle's hideout, just in time for Kat to duck under a flying tin.

"Be careful where you throw those, Mikey." She joked before Donnie caught sight of the hover-cart.

"Oh wow!" In a moment he was all over it, poking it and prodding it, trying to see how it worked. Raph left him to it and helped Kat cheer up Mikey.

"I have good news! Alyssa escaped!"

[Leo]

Mikey looked at her blankly, having no idea who she was talking about. I kept quiet, not wanting to provoke him and cause him to run away. I made a note to have a talk with him, or to get Sensei to chat to him... My intentions weren't always seen as... good.

Karai smiled slightly, "That is good. Is she hurt?"

Kat's face fell and Raph coughed slightly.

"...Yeah. I saw needle marks all over her body, plus loads of scars...and s-she..." She tried to continue but broke down into tears. Splinter moved to comfort her while Raph explained about the scars on Alyssa's throat, and how she couldn't speak anymore.

[Leo]

The look on Karai's face as Raph explained made my heart drop even lower. I was horrified about what had happened and felt a pang of sympathy towards Alyssa, and Karai made me feel worse. Of course, she hadn't known what had happened (and neither did I), but she still seemed to feel guilty for causing Kat's reaction.

"Kat, we'll find who did it to her and make them pay," I declared firmly.

"Now what?" Mikey mumbled, "Are you all gonna go find them while we sit here?"

I shook my head, "We're all going to Kat's place when she's up for it. She knows the way. Then we'll all be together and we can start planning."

Kat nodded, wiping away tears and sniffing.

"We'll go there now. Is everything packed?" She asked Don, who nodded. Raph grabbed the handles of the hover-cart but it refused to budge.

"Shell. Hey, Leo? Wanna help me move this stuff?" He asked, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder to point to the heavy cart.

[Leo]

"Sure," I told him, going over to him. Karai followed me but I didn't ask her to help.

"Can I help?" she asked.

"We've got things under control," I told her brightly, wanting her to take it easy. However, she took it a different way.

"Are you saying you are stronger than me?"

I shook my head, "Of course not! You can help us."

Kat smirked slightly as they all exited the room, Don closing it behind them. She lead them through the maze of tunnels and Alyssa deactivated the hologram around the door and let them all in.

"So, what do you guys think?"

[Mikey]

My breath escaped my mouth and I forgot all about my mood. Well, I didn't really but this gave me an excuse to pretend to. I sniggered, "Hey Donnie, why can't our lair be this cool?"

"Mikey..." Leo said warningly, "Don put a lot of hard work into our lair, but this is still a very nice home."

I saw Kaida sitting on the couch and sat next to her. I grinned. She was watching some cartoons. "Are you dying?"

"Of boredom, yeah," she mumbled.
