Ok since everyone has been enjoying my story I will post another chapter now.

Chapter 9

Raph POV

Seeing Violet in the hospital bed was so painful. She looked so pale, thin, and well broken. The machines were all around her and Kari started to cry.

"Please Kari, don't cry. I will get better shortly," Violet said in a soft voice. She motioned for Kari to sit beside her on the bed. When she snuggled close to Kari, Violet hugged her.

Most of the visits were the same and it seemed like Violet was beginning to get better. I sincerely hoped so because as soon as she was back home with us in the Lair I was going to propose to Violet. I found that living in the Lair was so empty without Violet's presence to keep me company.

A month later Violet was crying as I and my four brothers entered the hospital window.

"Guys I have to leave," Violet told us but her gaze was on me.

"Why?" I asked swallowing back the lump in my throat.

"Doctor McCraig says that I need to go to California to get better now that the cancer is gone," she looked down. "I'm sorry Raphael but he says it will allow me to get out of this smog filled city and I will be able to get my weight back on. Please forgive me."

"Violet this ain't ya fault," I said hugging her. "Guys . . ." My brothers left after telling us that they would be on the roof.

"I love ya Violet. I don't want to see you this weak and sick. You need to get better and come back as soon as ya can, alright?"

"Raphael, I love you too!" Before I could think she was kissing me.


Violet POV

A year had passed as I made my way through JFK Airport. I had gained weight and I began my training again, once the doctor had given me the ok. I knew Raph would be happy when I surprised the guys in the Lair, because they didn't know that I was coming this day.

I had actually told them that it would be another month before my doctor would allow me to come home. I had told Raph everything in the letters and phone calls that I had made. I told Raph how much weight I had put on and how my training was going. I had even sent all the girls birthday and Christmas presents as I could not be there to celebrate with them.

The taxi let me out on Eastman and Laird. I paid the cabby and walked to the abandoned warehouse once I was sure he was gone.

"Guys?" I called out in the Lair. Doors opened everywhere and soon the girls were hugging me. I fell down after they all tried to get a group hug.

"Did you bring presents?" Ren asked me excitedly.

"What kind of monster would I be if I didn't bring presents." I opened my bag and pretended to rant through it. "Oh no!" I mocked screamed. "Someone stole the bag that they were in!" Ren looked like she was about to cry.

"Just teasing sweetheart," I said giggling. I pulled out their presents and handed them to the girls. Excitedly they opened the presents and they each found a ring with the stone the same color as their ninja masks. Finally I escaped the ring of hugs that the girls bestowed upon me and hugged Leo, Mikey, Don and lastly Raph. Raph kissed me also, right in front of his family and his father!

"Actually I have a little present for ya," Raph said. He got down on one knee and said, "The year that we've been apart killed me. I need you to stay with me. Will ya marry me?"

"No!" I said after a moments contemplation. Raph face dropped. "I always wanted to be able to say no! That was a joke Raph. Of COURSE I'll marry you." Raph's face lit up. He put a ring on my finger and kissed me again.

"But I have one condition."

"What's that?" Raph asked. I glanced at Leo.

" I want a summer wedding!"

Raph looked at me. "We can manage that since it is only March. We can be married in June, July, or August if you'd like."

"July."

Chapter 10

Violet POV

Raphael was very understanding especially when I would become upset at him and yell. He understood that it was the stress of the wedding that was upsetting me. I tried to keep my anger in check but as the days ticked down I was getting more stressed than ever.

One morning as I tried to meditate with Leo in the dojo I heard the girls scream Aunt April. I had to smile even though I was beginning to sweat because I knew what April was here for. Today April and I were going dress shopping because the wedding was in a week, and I still had not found the right dress.

"Bye Leo," I said slowly getting to my feet. Leo nodded without opening his eyes. I left and grabbed my purse before kissing Raph good bye and the girls.

"Nervous?" April asked me as we walked down Main Street.

"A little," I admitted as we stopped outside of a boutique. "I am scared of what Raph will expect from me."

"Raph is a great guy and I know he will be very understanding," April said before pushing the door open. I tried on almost every dress on in that store before I found the perfect dress.

It was white, stapless and it sort of looked like a Cinderella style dress with the tulle on the skirt. It was perfect! I bought a pair of lace up satin high heels to go with it and then April and I took the dress to the Lair, careful to keep it from Raph's prying eyes.

It was hidden in my temporary room, which was mine until the wedding, and the door had a lock on the outside to which I had the only key. April and I hung the dress up in the closet.

Wedding Day

The day of the wedding dawned and I rolled back over in bed. I tried not to remember that I needed to get up right then because in a half hour April would be coming over to help me prepare for the wedding.

"Vi, you awake?" Donnie asked through the door.

"Yeah!" I called sitting up in bed.

"Your breakfast," Donnie said opening the door.

"Thanks Don, but I could have - "

"NO! Raph cannot see you before the wedding," Donnie said.

April came and together we managed to do my makeup and hair style before three in the afternoon. She helped me into my dress and after that Donnie entered the room.

"Everything - WOW!" Donnie said stopping midsentence as he took in my full appearance.

"Everyone's downstairs and the ceremony will start in fifteen minutes." Don backed out of the room and left to go help Mike and Leo help Raph.

Those fifteen minutes seemed to last forever and made me increasingly nervous. April soothed my nerves and finally had to leave because she was the bridesmaid. Splinter took over her role and continued to sooth my nerves. Finally it was time and Splinter took me to the top of the stairs where I watched Aura and Hina (flower girls) walk up the aisle and throw the rose petals that I had requested.

Finally the wedding march began to play and Raph turned to look at the stairs while the guests, Casey, Angel, the Professor, Silver Sentry, and the rest of the Justice Force, Usagi, and the Daimyo all turned to face the stairs.

I walked down the stairs with Splinter, and let a soft smile come to my lips as I saw the guests stunned faces. Finally I reached Raph's side.

"You look beautiful," he murmured as the Professor began the ceremony.

"And you look handsome," I managed to say.

Finally after Raph and I said our vows the Professor told Raph to kiss the bride. After that the wedding party started.

The next morning at the breakfast table with Leo, Mike, Don, my husband, and the girls I decided to tell Aura what was bugging me.

"Aura, sweetheart," I began nervously.

"Do I have to call you Mom?" Aura asked looking at me.

"No you don't. I just wanted to say that I understand if you do not, but I would like to adopt you and be able to call you my daughter. But the decision is up to you. I do not want you to do anything that you don't want to or are not ready to." Raph kissed my cheek reassuringly and rubbed my knee under the table.

"Alright . . . Mom," Aura said with a smile. I smiled back at her.

"Thank you," I told her relieved that she trusted me enough to know that I would not be like her biological mother and leave her. This was definitely going to be a great day.

Chapter 11

Violet POV

It had been about a year since my marriage to Raphael. This morning I awoke to find Raph was already gone, which meant that I either overslept (again) or Raph was in the dojo blowing off steam. Sometimes he would wake up in the morning mad and then get out all of his aggression in the dojo. So when I noticed that the time read 6:58 AM I knew that he must be mad about something.

I made my way to the dojo where I noticed Mikey teasing Raph mercilessly during their training. Finally Raph snapped and almost hit Mikey with a chair leg. I hurried to grab his arm while Leo and Don comforted Mike. In a second Raph had back handed me. I felt shock run through my body like ice.

"Violet, I am . . . I am sorry . . ." Raph shook his head wordlessly and ran out of the Lair. Don tenderly attended to my cheek while Leo and Mike stood there in shock.

"I have to go find him and tell him everything is alright," I told Don. Don nodded his head as Leo handed me an ice pack.

"That will stop the swelling. Oh and take this .. . " DOn handed me a Shellcell. I began my way out of the door and through the sewers. I was a great tracker and I knew exactly where Raph went. After a few miles the trail suddenly stopped.

"Raph please come out . . ." I pleaded in the darkness. "I know that you are there."

Raph stepped out of the shadows beside me and touched my bruised cheek. "I did this . . ." he murmured.

"Raph I am fine. Please come home."

"What if I had hurt the girls?"

"Raph you didn't."

"What if I had hurt you badly? Or the baby?" Raph asked pressing a hand to my abdomin.

"You didn't!" I said sharply. "Quit thinking of what ifs. They didn't happen. What is done is done. Nothing else."

Wordlessly Raph followed me keeping a hand on my stomach and a hand on my shoulder. Nothing more was said when we got back to the Lair.

Chapter 12
Violet POV

Back at the Lair I made sure that Leo did not punish Raph because Raph was already self punishing. I made sure that I had put a lot of concealer on my cheek before Aura saw it. However, Aura must have sensed something was wrong because she managed to be pretty quiet today.

Later after I helped Mike with lunch I went to help the girls learn gymnastics. Don had built parallel bars, a vault, and a balance beam for me during the first few months that I lived in the Lair. Ren was a natural and she even seemed to enjoy this sport.

After dinner we were all sitting in front of the TV when I began to feel nauseaus. I bolted to the bathroom and just made it in time. After a few moments Raph came in and stroked my hair.

"We have to tell Don and the rest of the guys," Raph said finally. "It has been a month and now you're getting 'morning sickness' with it too. Don will need this time to prepare and read up on delivering a kid."

"Yeah, you're right," I said as I washed my mouth out and brushed my teeth. When we were back in the living room Donnie practically jumped me seeing if I had a fever or was coming down with the flu.

"Donnie! I'm fine!" I managed to say while the other turtles and girls looked on amused.

"Yeah, but we do have an announcement," Raph said gruffly wrapping a huge arm around my waist and holding my stomach in his hand.

"Aura, what would you say if your father and I told you that you are going to be a sister?" I asked her. "Yes Mike. And your going to be an uncle!" Aura sat on the floor for a moment before getting to her feet and running to her room. Raph immediately went after her and the rest of the clan, my family, proceded to comgratulate me on this news.
